Adobe Photoshop Self Portrait

Both of those portraits are very unique I went for a surreal but also a futuristic style for the overall development. For the first portrait, I went on to cut out a piece of my face and place another image of my face inside but with a glitch effect as I wanted to show what has been going on in my head lately and that mentally I am very confused and lost and this idea shows that there’s a lot of unexpected things going on inside my head. I decided to add a mask on top of the hole in my head to show that I as a person don’t want to share this with others and that I am hiding behind a mask however I did not just add a mask over the mess that’s going in my head I made the mask to stand out by giving it texture to show that the mask won’t last forever and someday it will drop. The background for this edit is purely just to emphasise the fact that I am struggling mentally and that there are a lot of things and thoughts inside my head.
For the second portrait, I went on to cut out many many layers of my face that just keep going feather and feather in my head similarly to in the first Portrait I wanted to represent the current struggle I am having inside my head and each of the layer is a different emotion and thought, as you see on of the layers is black and white witch represents the sad emotion I am facing the second is a vibrant layer witch shows the happier thing and I find this to be significant as the order allows to show what emotion has the biggest impact as the layers that first have a much more powerful impact on my mental health.
