My Blog Design Research Low Fidelity UI Prototype

Low Fidelity UI Prototype

All of the Fidelity UI Prototypes have been crated using Figma.

In the next phase I aim to examine how users engage with a low-fidelity design and their navigation patterns within it. This assessment will help identify effective elements and areas requiring feature development while also providing a very important insights into user experience (UX). Once both the user interface (UI) and UX reach an acceptable standard in the low-fidelity design we will progress to the creation of high-fidelity designs. These will be evaluated through both human interactions and computer-based assessments (HCI). Below are several low-fidelity prototypes for the ClOUT Festival website and companion app.

The primary objective for the mobile layout was to ensure consistency with the website thereby preserving the user experience at a comparable level to that of the website. Given that the app is likely to be used while attendees are already at the festival we prioritised the inclusion of essential features such as the ticketing system, site map, and any new information to ensure a seamless user experience.

In this flow chart I have tried to incorporate all the features that will be present on the website beginning with the home page and extending to the legal terms of service and additional elements. The layout progresses from the left to the right section by section. See Below:

During the evaluation of the prototypes and the flaw chart we identified several issues related to navigation on the homepage. Many features were found to be non functional and the flow chart became overwhelming and confusing due to overlapping elements. Despite the numerous improvements needed this development research process has allowed for the effective application of UX and UI principles in both the build-up and the low-fidelity prototypes creating a stable foundation to carry on with this project.
